Description:: | Testosterone is a steroid compound that is described chemically as Delta 4-androstene-17ß-ol-3-one. It is the principal hormone of the testis. The ester, Propionate, is a stable, white or slightly yellow crystalline substance
that is insoluble in water but freely soluble in alcohol, ether, acetone, vegetable oils, and other organic solvents. Esterification of the 17 beta-hydroxy group produces compounds which have a longer duration of action and are hydrolyzed in vivo to free testosterone.
